What The Customer Needed

The customer needed a complete production line for PETG tubes with two specifications:

Outer Diameter: 14.5 mm / 17.5 mm
Wall Thickness: 0.75 mm / 0.9 mm
Stable output and uniform plasticizing
Accurate vacuum sizing and cooling
Clean, chip-free cutting
Easy operation and reliable electrical control

Solution

What We Supplied

QTech-Machinery supplied a complete PETG tube production solution, including:

SJ50/28 single screw extruder
PETG tube extrusion mold
4.5-meter stainless steel vacuum calibration tank
80 mm belt haul-off machine
Small chippless circular cutting machine
The line was designed for PETG material processing, with optimized screw structure, vacuum sizing, belt traction, and automatic cutting to ensure consistent tube quality.

SJ50/28 Single Screw Extruder

1. SJ50/28 model for PETG tube extrusion, max output up to 50 kg/h.
2. PETG special screw, 28:1 L/D ratio, 38CrMoAlA screw and barrel with nitriding treatment.
3. 15 kW main motor with Yaskawa inverter speed control.
4. 4 barrel heating zones, ceramic heating rings, temperature range 100℃–360℃.
5. ZLYJ146 gearbox with hardened helical gears and pressure lubrication system.
6. Equipped with 50 kg dryer and material loader.
7. Siemens, Schneider and Delixi electrical components.

PETG Tube Extrusion Mold

1. Designed for 14.5 mm OD × 0.75 mm wall thickness and 17.5 mm OD × 0.9 mm wall thickness tubes.
2. Mold body and mandrel made of 40Cr material.
3. High-quality wear-resistant copper sizing sleeves for stable tube calibration.
4. Water-cooled aluminum jacket for fast cooling and better tube forming.
5. Mica heater for stable mold temperature control.
6. Precision machining, polishing and inner electroplating for smoother material flow.

4.5 m Stainless Steel Vacuum Calibration Tank

1. 4500 × 230 × 235 mm stainless steel tank with 1000 mm vacuum section.
2. 304 stainless steel structure, vacuum section 2 mm thick and water tank 1.5 mm thick.
3. 2.2 kW vacuum pump with vacuum control range from 0 to -50 KPa.
4. Equipped with vacuum gauge, control meter, manual regulating valve and silencer.
5. Pre-cooling device, blow dryer and high-level water tank included.
6. Adjustable frame: front/back ±250 mm, left/right ±50 mm, up/down ±150 mm.
7. Water level controller and digital water temperature display.

80 mm Belt Haul-off Machine

1. 80 mm red V-belt for stable tube traction.
2. Haul-off speed range: 0–10 m/min.
3. Two 1.1 kW motors with RV63 reducers.
4. 2.2 kW Yaskawa inverter speed control.
5. Center height 1000 mm with adjustable base feet.
6. Upper haul-off adjusted by handwheel; lower haul-off adjusted by screw.
7. Schneider and Delixi electrical components.

Small Chipless Circular Cutting Machine

1. Rotary chipless cutting with pneumatic knife feeding.
2. Cutting range: 10–50 mm; max cutting thickness: 20 mm.
3. Aluminum follow-up clamping for stable cutting.
4. Cutting travel: 550 mm; center height: 1000 ± 50 mm.
5. 1.1 kW motor, 380 V / 50 Hz.
6. Blade size: Φ72 × Φ12 mm, thickness 1.2–1.5 mm.
7. Siemens PLC, HMI display, Schneider contactors and Delixi electrical components.
